About Gem

When Gem first opened in 2004, the focus was on handmade jewelry (mainly my own!) and special brands that were unique or vintage, offering our clients a level of craftsmanship and ingenuity as inspiring as the beautiful natural environment around us. I am obsessed with sharing small, hard to find designers and travel extensively in order to meet with or simply become inspired by these artists.  The result is a brilliantly curated collection of skillfully crafted jewelry and personal accessories.  I create a space full of things that I really believe in, work with designers whom I think are innovators and influencers and fill the shop with special pieces that translate that emotion.  Shopping small means the world to me.  I can't imagine the world without the individual charm and attention to detail that is found in a well loved boutique.
