Laura, owner, buyer and also jewelry designer for Gem has been creating jewelry since 1995 while working in a boutique in Portland on NW 23rd.  She began selling her jewelry to other boutiques in Portland and also in Chicago which propelled her to began a career as a jewelry designer.  Her designs have evolved over the years but her signature simple drop necklaces and earrings remain a best selling staple here at Gem!
